„Winter Sunset“
triangular shawl
Technique: crochet
Yarn:Cotton Cake – 1 bobbin
Crochet hook: 2,5 mm and 5 mm
Row 1: With hook 2,5 mm make a 100 -110 cm chain or your desired width. This is going to be one of the legs of your right triangle.
Row 2: Chain 3 stitches, *Chain 1 stitch, skip the first stitch from the first row and make a Doubl Chain stitch in the next one.* Repeat the steps until there are four chain stitches left at the end of the row. Double chain 2 stitches together with one chain between them. That is how the corner of the shawl is formed.
Follow the pattern until the end at the top corner.
Without breaking the yarn, using a 5mm hook, start slip stitching through the column. When you reach the end, turn to the next column and start slip stitching again.
The entire length of the columns is distributed in equal parts - according to the remaining number of colors in the bobbin to obtain equal squares of colors. If necessary, break the thread of the current color and start with the next in line.
The finishing border of the shawl is done the same way - slip stitch all the way, observing the colors of the squares you pass.
Tassels: With a crochet hook 2,5 mm, and color by your choosing, chain 25 stitches. Attach it to one of the corners and chain another 25 pieces. Join the two ends and cut the thread.
For the tassels themselves, cut 50 strips of yarn of 18 cm each. Fold them in half and pass them through the connected chain. Fasten the strips of yarn, cut and hide the thread.
The shawl is ready. Now you can wash it, dry it and display it in our Facebook group :)
