Notes:
The cardigan can be made in two basic sizes - One Size and One Size Plus, with a width of 110 and 140 cm respectively. If you want to increase or decrease this width by one idea, crochet the individual squares one row more if you want to increase its width, or one row less if you want to reduce it. Note that this will also change the overall length of the vest. Another option to change its width without changing the number of squares is to crochet them with a larger or smaller hook number. But this will also change the length slightly.
Accordingly, to The placement of the colors is up to you and your imagination. I chose the sleeves and waist of the cardigan to be the same and to contrast with the rest of the body, and for this purpose a large Pudding for One Size was quite sufficient. For a One Size Plus size, the amount of yarn required is one large and one small Pudding and with the correct placement of the squares, you will have enough yarn to get the same effectmake it shorter or longer, reduce or increase the number of squares along the length. To do this, first crochet the small Pudding and then start the larger one. Once you have crochet the required number of squares for the larger size and have started crocheting with the yarn from the center of the spool, the amount of yarn left will be enough to finish the sleeves and the mustard colored bodice.
The main part of the cardi is made up of squares with a width of 18 by 18 cm. For the One Size size, the required number of squares is 30, and for the One Size Plus – 42. After placing the squares according to the scheme in the photos, you sew them to each other on the packaging side on the crocheting. Sew only in the outer back post of the loops.
You will find it one idea easier if you first sew the sleeves as separate pieces (made up of 5 squares), then sew the body of the vest lengthwise (without the lengths where you will join the fronts to the back) and the shoulder seams. Then sew the sleeves to the body starting at the very bottom of the cardigan (where the back and front should meet) and work your way up the sleeve. Use one (long) thread to sew the entire rows of squares - this way you have to hide less thread and save time.
After sewing all the squares on the vest, you start crocheting the sleeves according to the instructions. We croochet in a circle and start directly from the squares we sewed for the sleeve.
We crochet the front with a smaller hook number - #6 along the entire length of the two fronts and the neck curve. We crochet straight without folds and allowances. Crochet according to the instructions.
